ArtSparks, a new and experimental program, is bringing the creative energy of Seattle’s vibrant arts community into daily downtown life.

From June through October, three center city parks will each serve as an “art space” for a specific curator or curatorial team. Rob D’Arc at Victor Steinbrueck Park by the Pike Place Market, Ingrid Lahti and Carrie Bodle at Westlake Park, and Susie Lee and Elizabeth Umbanhowar at Occidental Park in the Pioneer Square neighborhood, will explore their own artistic interests with performance, sound, painting, words, giant puppets…arts of all kinds. Catch a glimpse, stay and watch, join in, or track all three parks to see what happens.
ArtSparks features a summer-long array of free arts events at your local downtown Seattle parks. Visit artsparksseattle.org or the ARTSPARKS page on Facebook or Parks Blogs for specific event details throughout the summer.
